Uluslararası Para Fonu (IMF) Türkiye ekonomisinin 2021 yılı büyüme tahminini yüzde 5,8'den yüzde 9'a yükseltti. IMF, Türkiye'nin 2022 yılı için büyüme beklentisini ise yüzde 3,3'te sabit tuttu. Temmuz ayında açıklanan ara raporda Türkiye'nin yılsonu büyüme tahmini yüzde 5,8 olarak belirtilmişti.

IMF küresel ekonominin ise 2021'de yüzde 5,9 büyüyeceğini tahmin etti. IMF'nin bir önceki tahmini yüzde 6'ydı. IMF 2022 için küresel büyüme tahminini ise yüzde 4,9'da korudu. IMF, Çin ekonomisinin bu yıl yüzde 8, gelecek yıl ise yüzde 5,6 büyüyeceğini belirtirken Euro Bölgesi'nin 2021 büyüme tahminini ise yüzde 0,4 arttırarak 4,6'dan yüzde 5'e yükseltti.
